For September

Today I saw the moon
It was such a beautiful sight.
Today I saw a clear blue sky
And I will sleep well tonight.

Today I thought of home
Of the distances in-between.
Today I touched the dew
Twas the prettiest of all I’ve seen.

Today I hugged the cold
A brave and needful start.
Today I made a friend
He came with a gentle heart.

Today I fell in love
A warming new respite.
Today I learned to dance
It set my limbs alight.

Today I learnt to rhyme
My fingers rasped again.
Today I wrote a line
And it smelt sweeter than the rain.

Today I saw the moon
It was such a pleasant sight.
Today I saw a clear evening sky
And I will sleep well tonight.

    Today is a significant day.
Hope tomorrow will remind you of today,
And yesterday remind you of today.
Yet the subtleness of your speech makes me…Ah
This is quite impressive for young and amateur writers me
